I see a lot of reports of this issue when searching the Interwebs but the solutions either don't work or don't seem to apply.
Been working fine for 6 months and only stopped after the Jan 2nd Windows updates applied themselves. I don't know how to delete a name from autocomplete cache but not sure it matters. The FB is unavailable for every single user and every single room I select, not just one user. Office updates were installed on Jan 2nd because I saw them in the Control Panel and uninstalled them from there. Looking again today I see upwards up 30 Office security updates applied.

Since this is the first compliant I've seen, I'm not sure there is a fix. What version of Exchange do you connect with? What is your outlook version and suite type? That could mean it's not the update that caused it, or no one else has reported it. If you delete the person's name from the autocomplete cache and select it from the GAL, does FB work? Were any Outlook updates installed on Jan 2? If you use a subscription or retail version, Office updates aren't added to the update list in Control panel - if so, the answer is 'i don't know'. To delete a name from autocomplete, begin typing it and when it comes up in the list of autocomplete names, select it using the arrow keys and press Delete. I saw the article earlier - the symptoms are the same but the KBs in question should have been installed years ago.
Your coworkers would get the same updates but are unaffected. Do you know if the repair attempt was a quick repair? Have you tried setting your profile up on another computer or in a new windows user account? Today's update. I installed Outlook to see if that would change anything and it didn't.
